Hudson was the son of John Wahler and Mary Gutmann. On 19 Sep 1915 he married Julia Wigginton. They divorced in 1918. Later that year he married Alleen Pfanmiller and they had one daughter, Lillian. He retired from the Bridge Transit Company. He was a deacon of Virginia Avenue Baptist Church and a member of the Parkland Masonic Lodge and the St. John's Day League. Hudson died of a corornary thrombosis at his home, 4012 Vermont Avenue, at the age of 65.
