Margaret L. (Jacobsen), Reardon, 94, of E. Falmouth, formerly of Holbrook passed away at Longmeadow Healthcare in Taunton on June 27, after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Paul D. Reardon for 60 years.
Mrs. Reardon was born, raised and educated in Dorchester. She was the daughter of the late Louis Christian and Hilda (Webb) Jacobsen. Mrs. Reardon worked many years for the Jordon Marsh Company in Braintree. She raised her family in Holbrook and later moved to East Falmouth in 1981. Margaret loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren.
She is survived by his children, Paula M. Fife and her husband Lee of Taunton, Dianne L. Howard and her husband Rex of Sutton and Edward L. Reardon and his wife Robyn of Snellville, GA; and her grandchildren, Amy Cascella of Athens, GA, Chad Reardon of HI, Bryan Fife of Attleboro, Ashley Fife of Taunton and Amanda Sokolow of Scarborough, ME. Also surviving are 7 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She is the mother of the late Paul D. Reardon, Jr. who passed away in 1956, also sister of the late Anna Doherty and Hilda (Snookie) O'Donnell
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, July 31 from 4:00pm -7:00pm in the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 74 Algonquin Ave. at Route 151, MASHPEE. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, Aug 1, at St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 481 Quaker Rd, N. Falmouth. Interment will follow at the VA National Cemetery in Bourne.
