Major League Baseball Player. Nicknamed "Snake", he pitched for three organizations in his three year career. He began in 1901 with the Pittsburgh Pirates and purchased midseason by the Philadelphia Athletics. The following season, he began with the Athletics and purchased mideseason by the Baltimore Orioles. In 1903, he pitched for the New York Highlanders appearing in only four games and recording three losses. He won 29 games over his brief career. His brother George was also a ballplayer with the New York Giants in the eary l900s.
