His first marriage was to Lovina (or) Lavina, although I have not been able to locate a record. They had one known child: Luther L. Pool b. Feb. 28, 1870, Amboy (Twp.) Hillsdale Co. Michigan. Luther was still living in the 1880 Kalkaska Co. census with his father and his second wife, Sarah. Lavina Pool died in 1872 in Hillsdale Co. Michigan. He married his second wife, Sarah in 1874 in Kalkaska Co. Michigan.

Mr. Poole lived near Lodi for several years, but left this county nearly thirty-five years ago. He was a Mason of nearly sixty years outstanding. Surviving Mr. Poole is his wife, Sarah, and one son, A. Seymour Poole, both residing at Wayne. Funeral services were held at the Clapp Funeral Home, John Colsell officiating. Interment in charge of the Masonic Lodge was in Evergreen cemetery.'
