Milton Alfred Kach was born Oct. 27, 1915 in Winneshiek County, the son of Alfred and Winnie (Teetshorn) Kach.

He attended rural schools in Winneshiek and Howard County. He started farming at a young age and farmed most of his adult life.

He married Hedwig Gerber Sept. 4, 1935. To this union four children were born: Shirley, Gloria, Gerald, and Carol.

After he retired from farming, they moved to Cresco, where he worked at Erdahl's Hatchery and later as custodian for the Howard Winneshiek Community School District.
Milton Kach was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Alice Mosley; a son-in-law, Paul L. Hove and a grandson.
