Dean L. Winkler was born Oct. 1, 1927, in Eureka, to Norris and Ouida Lewellyn Winkler, he married Shirley Hoshor on Jan. 30, 1955.
Surviving are his mother; Ouida Hogan; wife; sons, Jeffery and Daniel; daughter, Mrs. David (Becky) Naughton; one brother, Larry; sister, Mrs. Joseph (Betty) Belsly and eight grandchildren.
He served with the Occupational Forces in Toyko, Japan, after World War II.
