Television News Anchor and Journalist. Marlow started out at a home-state television station in Rock Island, Illinois, then moved to San Jose, California, where he worked as a reporter and anchor for a local television station. In 1966, he moved to Los Angeles to work for NBC as a reporter, then as an anchor in 1968 and, at one point, co-anchored the news with Tom Snyder and Tom Brokaw. Marlow was regarded as a knowledgeable reporter covering politics, including the beginning of Ronald Reagan's first campaign for Governor. In 1980, he moved to KCBS and moved back to KNBC in 1986. While at KCBS, his co-anchor was Connie Chung. In 2001, he hosted the public affairs program on KCET, 'Life and Times Tonight' before retiring in 2003. Marlow, who received eight local Emmys, countless industry awards, a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and a lifetime achievement award from the Los Angeles Press Club, died from complications of Alzheimer's Disease.
