Forrest "Pete the Painter" Ellsworth, 69, of Homeworth passed away on Monday, August 4, 2014, at Alliance Community Hospital. Pete was born in Alliance on September 12, 1944, the son of the late Harold and Margaret (Smith) Ellsworth. He graduated from Goshen High School in 1963 and was self-employed as a painter at Ellsworth Painting. Pete was a social member of the American Legion, VFW, in Sebring and William Penn in Alliance. He enjoyed being outdoors, planting in his garden and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Wanda (Blackmon) Ellsworth whom he married on July 27, 1963; two sons, Dale (Shary) Ellsworth of Columbus, Georgia, Robert (Cindy) Ellsworth of Norwich, Ohio; a daughter Joyce (Tim) Vizzuso of Homeworth; nine grandchildren Joe (Carrie) Vizzuso, Laura (Ryan) Ferenczy, Jeff Vizzuso, Brittany Ellsworth, Mackenzie (Bob) Cripe, Andrew Ellsworth, Jacob Ellsworth, Wesley Ellsworth, Carlie Ellsworth; one great grandchild Bobby Jr.. Pete is also survived by ten sisters, Ruth Weigand of Kent, Maryelva Urdiales of Akron, Margie Fitzgerald of Salem, Irene Shea of Saginaw Michigan, Karen Willard of Deerfield, Sandy Kepner of Sebring, Twyla (Bob) Painter of Salem, Elaine Roberts of Massillon, Cheryl Urdiales of Canton, Debbie Moreland of Alliance; three brothers Harold O. of Goldsboro, N.C., Wayne L. of Canton, and Ron A. of Alliance. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers William D., and Jim and two sisters Yvonne Oyster an d Carol Ellsworth.

Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park.
