Mr. Davis died Sunday at Dorn Veterans Hospital. He was a husband of the late Corrie W. Davis and a son of the late Gen. Addison D. Davis Sr. and Alma McAllister Davis. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he retired from the transportation section at Fort Jackson. He was a member and elder emeritus of Rosehill Presbyterian Church, a former volunteer with Congaree Girl Scout Council, Richland Memorial Hospital, and a member of American Legion Post 6.
He was preceded in death by his son, Col. Addison D. Davis III; grandson, M.G. Murray Davis; and brother, Col. Robert Davis.
