He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the US Army 192nd Tank Battalion, Janesville. He survived the Bataan Death March and was a prisoner of war for three years and seven months.
He was a life member of AXPOW, Southern Wisconsin Chapter.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Celia, three sons, a daughter, twelve grandchildren, three great grandchildren, two brothers, and a sister.
