Betty Jean Wylie, of Pocasset, died August 7, 2014, at the age of 88. She was the wife of the late Raymond Frederick Wylie. Born July 11, 1926 in Bedford, PA, she was the daughter of the late Charles F. and Ada (Leonard) Watters. She graduated from Bedford High School in 1944. She volunteered at the South Shore Hospital in Weymouth in the 1960s. She was an avid gardener and was a member of the Weymouth Garden Club. She summered in Pocasset starting in 1968 until retiring to Pocasset permanently in the late 1980s. She and her husband Raymond spent many winters at their winter home in Fort Myers, FL. She was a member of the Pocasset Golf Club for many years. She was also very active in the North Falmouth Congregational Church. She leaves her son, Thomas R. Wylie and his wife Delian D. Wylie of Pocasset (formerly of Hingham); and two grandsons, Gregory and Daniel Wylie; her sisters, Vivian (Watters) Silsby, Harriet (Watters) Waugerman; and her brother Charles Watters preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, August 11, 2014, at the North Falmouth Congregational Church, followed by a reception at the church. Burial will be at 1:45 p.m. at the Massa-chusetts National Cemetery in Bourne. All are welcome. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to either: Hope Hospice, 765 Attucks Ln., Hyannis, MA 02601 or North Falmouth Congregational Church, 155 Old Main Rd., North Falmouth, MA 02556-2707
