Two American honeymooners were killed Saturday about seven hours after their marriage when their car crashed into an auto which, ironically, was part of a Canadian wedding procession.

Dead were Charles A. Abare, 21, of Malone, N.Y., and his bride, Gail Gordon Abare, 20, who were reported en route to an undisclosed honeymoon destination in Canada.

The accident occurred as the Abare auto pulled out to pass another car, part of the Canadian wedding group.

The car in which the Abare's were riding, police said, hit the rear of the other car, which also had pulled out to pass. The Abare car then veered off the highway and hit a tree.
