William A. Premo, 61, Westville farmer, died yesterday afternoon shortly before 2:30 at his home following a lengthy illness.

He has been in failing health for the past year and during that time had undergone three major operations in Montreal hospitals. For the past 10 weeks he had been confined to his bed.

Mr. Premo was born in Westville, Nov. 8, 1885, a son of the late Amada and Addie LaBarge Premo, and spent his entire lifetime in that area. He was a farmer by occupation.

Thirty-eight years ago this month, he was united in marriage with Miss Eva Primeau of Worcester, Mass. Deceased was a member of the Westville Grange and was active in the organization until his illness.

He was affiliated with St. Augustine's Church, North Bangor. A man of sterling qualities and kindly, congenial manner. Mr. Premo will be greatly missed by a wide circle of friends as well as a large family to whom he had always been a devoted husband and father.

Surviving are his widow and eight children, all of whom except one, Mrs Arthur Jock, who is a patient in the Alice Hyde Hospital, were at his bedside when he died.
They are: four sons, Victor, Malorie; Cleo, Massena; Melvin, Westville: and Almon at home: four daughters: Miss Leona Premo at home; Mrs. David A????, Fort Covington; Mrs. Arthur Carriere, St. Agnes, Que.; and Mrs. Jock, Malone. There are also 13 grandchildren and one sister. Mrs. William Ghostlaw, Fort Covington.

The body is at his late home, awaiting the funeral, details of which will be found in the column, Funeral Notices.
