Mrs. Martha Ellen Stewart, 75, died in her home at Kuhntown at 10 p.m. Monday, July 16, 1951, following an illness of several days. She was the widow of Norman J. Stewart, who died May 20, 1939.

A daughter of the late Henry and Mahalia Six Hixenbaugh, Mrs. Stewart was born July 21, 1875 at Hundred, W. Va. She resided all her married life at Kuhntown and was a member of the Assembly of God Church at Brave.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Walter Brewer of Pine Bank, R. D. 1, Mrs. Sanford Fox of Kirby and Mrs. Cecil Headlee of Pine Bank; one step-daughter, Mrs. James Roberts of Waynesburg; 19 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; two half-brothers, A. B. and Howard Hixenbaugh, both of Hundred, W. Va.; one half-sister, Mrs. Albert Lough of Elm Grove, W. Va., and a sister-in-law, Mrs. J. S. Cole of Waynesburg.
