Major League Baseball Player. He played Major League baseball as a pitcher for seven seasons (1912 to 1917, 1920) with the Washington Senators and the Cleveland Indians. His first full season, 1913 saw him form a formidable pitching duo with future Hall of Famer Walter Johnson, going 17 and 7 with a 2.14 earned run average. In the middle of the 1916 he was traded to the Cleveland Indians, and played with them through the 1917 season. He retired in 1920 after playing in three games. His career totals were 55 wins and 50 losses, a 2.97 earned run average, and 396 strike outs.
