Garland was the oldest of three children born to Oscar Lewis and Vera Elva (Langley) Hicks. He married (1) Myrtis Allene Thomas and they had two children: Rhonda Rena, and (son). He later married (2) Judy Carroll.

GARLAND LEWIS HICKS

LIBERTY - Garland Lewis Hicks, 82, of Liberty passed away on July 8, 2012 at The Randolph Hospice House.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July the Twelfth at three o'clock in the afternoon at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Todd Moore and Rev. Bryant Madren; burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. The family will host a reception of friends on Wednesday from six o'clock in the evening until nine o'clock at night at Loflin Funeral Home of Liberty.
He was preceded in death by his parents Oscar and Vera Langley Hicks.
Surviving is his wife of 38 years, Judy Carroll Hicks; three daughters, Rhonda Coble (Curtis), Ginger Isley (Jeff), and Rhonda Hargis (Dennis); two sisters, Norma Staley and Helen Bare; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren and special nieces and nephews.
