Died In Service

The son of George & Mary Young of Brooklyn, Myles Young married Mary Loretta Flanagan April 17, 1914. Their first child, Loretta V. was born 10 months later, but the baby only lived 3 days. They had 2 more children by 1918.

Loretta died in May 1918 at the age of just 23. Five months later, Myles died also, leaving their 2 small children orphans.

YOEMAN YOUNG

Myles W. Young, a Yeoman in the U. S. Navy, died Tuesday in the Municipal Hospital, Philadelphia, Pa., of pneumonia.

He was born in Brooklyn twenty-six years ago, and was formerly attached to the Fire Headquarters as a clerk.

He was the husband of the late Loretta Young, and is survived by two children, his father, George W.; two brothers, Frank and George W., and a sister, Mrs. Ruth Clarke.

The funeral will be held tomorrow at 10 a.m. from his late home, 593 Tenth Street, with interment at Greenwood Cemetery.
