Estacada resident, Wilbur D. Reed passed away July 25, 2013. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.

Wilbur "Wil" was born in Polson, Montana on December 30, 1935 to Wilbur and Leo (Forman) Reed. After being honorably discharged from the U.S. Army, Wilbur's careers consisted of professional drafting, mechanical engineering, teaching and running a small business of blade sharpening services.

Wil was a member of several fraternal organizations that included Moose Lodge, Elks Lodge, Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite and Shriners.

Wil left behind his wife, Cheryl Ovist of Eagle Creek, his sons Rick Reed of Alabama, Roger Reed of Portland, his step-children included Vincent Ovist of Portland, Patricia Swennson of Tigard, Karen Smitherman of Vancouver, Washington, Nita Lestikow of Parsons, Kansas and Rhonda Ovist of Florida and 10 grandchild.
