MILDRED FARMER, 92, a homemaker, died May 12, 1996, in Colorado Springs.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Swan-Law Funeral Home, 501 N. Cascade Ave. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Fairview Cemetery, 1000 S. 26th St., with the Rev. Gaylord Hatler officiating.
Mrs. Farmer was born Dec. 26, 1903, in Walnut, Kan., to Claude J. and Muriel J. (Shirley) Hurst.
She was married Aug. 7, 1928, in Girard, Kan., to Don L. Farmer, who died in 1971.
She is survived by two sons, Donald L. and Roger E., both of Colorado Springs; a daughter, Shirley J. Brandt of Mount Dora, Fla.; a brother, Roy Hurst of Columbus, Kan.; two sisters, Lurene Mix of Chanute, Kan., and Corinne Moody of Atlanta; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Mrs. Farmer graduated from Kansas State College at Pittsburg, Kan. She was a school teacher in rural Crawford County, Kan.
