Major League Baseball Player. Nicknamed "Grunting Jim" for his loud grunts while throwing, he pitched for the Washington Senators from 1913-1921. In his nine year career, he started 193 of the 287 games he appeared in. He went 84-98 leading the league in saves in 1914 and 1919 with 4 and 5 respectively. He gave up Babe Ruth's 100th career home run in 1920.
