Frank enlisted in the Army at Newark, NJ on 7 April 1943.

Pvt Moser volunteered for parachutist duty and became a member of Company D, 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment. He was appointed to the grade of PFC on 25 April 1944.

Pfc Moser jumped into Normandy, France on D-Day, 6 June 1944 and was killed in action on the following day. He was awarded the Purple Heart and the Combat Infantryman Badge posthumously.
