Carrie “Mama Googie” Snow was born July 12, 1937, to the late Henry and Ella Bell in Coushatta.

She entered into rest August 28, 2014, at Highland Hospital with family by her side.

Funeral services will be Saturday, Sept. 6 at 1 p.m. at Starlight Baptist Church, 697 Martin Luther King Drive, Coushatta, with the Rev. Christopher Burton officiating.

Interment will be in Jerusalem Baptist Church Cemetery.

Carrie was baptized at the Starlight Baptist Church by the late Rev. K. P. Jones.

Carrie is preceded in death by her husband, William Snow, Jr.; mother, Ella Bell; father, Henry Bell, Sr.; four brothers, Johnnie Bell, Oscar Bell, Henry Bell, Jr. and Joe Bell; and her daughter, Shirley Mae Allen.

She leaves to cherish her memory three daughters, Rose Smith of Coushatta, Diane Newman and husband John of Coushatta and Annette Craig and husband Louis of Coushatta; three sons, Larry Snow and wife Glendora of Coushatta, Michael Snow of Houston, Texas, and Jamario Ashton (grandson) of Coushatta; two sisters, Ruby Grey of Coushatta and Betty Grant of Dallas, Texas; two brothers, Bobby Bell and wife Mary and Henderson Bell and wife Annie, all of Mansfield; 30 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
