OBITUARY: 31 Jul 1934
Dorothea [Fischer] Raemer, Stettler was born March 14, 1852 in Hanover, Germany and died at Agar, South Dakota July 31st, 1934 at the age of eighty-two years, four months and seventeen days. At the age of eight years she came with the family to America and located in Cook Co., Illinois. Later the family moved to Indiana and at the age of fourteen the deceased took up residence at Herkimer, Kansas.
In 1869 she married Phillip John Raemer and of this union five daughters and four sons were born. Her second marriage [October 1895 in Marshall Co., Kansas] was to Carl Stettler who died in 1918 [1920]. Mrs. Stettler lived in Oklahoma and in Canada until 1927 at which time she made her home with her daughter Mrs. John [Wilhelmine Raemer] Schreiber of Agar, South Dakota. In addition to her five daughters and four sons she also leaves twenty grandchildren.
