Tacoma New Tribune January 26, 1953 page 20. Benjamin D Archer, 88, retired designer and building contractor and president of Tacoma for the past 37 years, died Monday morning at a local hospital. He was a native of London, England. Mr. Archer is survived by his wife, Savannah, two daughters, Mrs. Marie Shepro and Mrs Mabel Unger, both of Los Angeles, and three sons, Harold of Whitter, California, Cyril of Los Angles and Leslie of Tacoma, former editor of the Tacoma Labor Advocate. Mrs. Unger has been here since March taking care of her parents. Funeral arrangements will be announced in the Piper Fauneral Home
