Married William Hamilton Taylor on 9-12-1906 in Havana, Yell County Arkansas.

Alice and the two youngest children are listed in the1930 Census living in Pauls Valley, Garvin County, Oklahoma. (herein) The 1930 census also shows that Linnie and Tina Eunice were both born in Kansas. Linnie was born 20 MAR 1916 and Tina Eunice was born 1 AUG 1918. Since Linnie was born in Kansas two days before Linnis' first birthday, it's presumed they moved to Kansas from Alma, Stephens County, Oklahoma soon after Linnis was born. Their 7th child, Ethel, was born 5 AUG 1920 and died when she was two years old. I cannot find any record on Ethel and don't have any idea if she was born in Kansas or Oklahoma. The 1920 Federal Census shows William and Alice were living in a rented house in Hutchinson Ward 6, Reno County, Kansas and that William worked as a laborer in a chemical plant. The 1920 Census also shows their first three children (Sebern, Pearl, and Myrtle) were born in Arkansas, their fourth child (Linnis) was born in Oklahoma and their fifth and sixth children (Linnie and Eunice) were born in Kansas. The1930 Federal Census lists Alice living in Pauls Valley, Garvin County, Oklahoma working as laundress and her martial condition as divorced. According to the Arkansas Divorce Index of 1923 – 1939,William and Alice divorced on 20 JAN 1925 in Chicot County, Arkansas. Linnis said they moved to Colorado for a short time in or around 1924 and that William and Alice fought all the time they lived in Colorado. From the information Aunt Myrtle gave me, William and Alice were not partakers in hard work and expected their children to make the living for the family. Aunt Myrtle was always commenting that their father "could always find a cotton sack to fit their backs but never one that fit his back". The Taylor sisters stated that his work partaking consisted of sitting at the end of a cotton row and telling them to "hurry". I remember my mother, Linnis, commenting that they worked from sunup until sundown in the farm field and how strange she thought it was when she married ·Morris Covington and his family always stop working in the farm fields in the early afternoon so they could take a nap. William died 27 JUL 1931 in a Tuberculosis Hospital in Clinton, Carter County, Oklahoma and due to the contagious nature of the disease, he was thought to be buried there soon after his death. However, cemetery records show he is buried in the Pauls ValleyCemetery2. After all of Alice's children got married, she took turns living with each child until about 1952, when she found a two-room apartment on the west side of the city park in Wynnewood, Garvin County, Oklahoma.3 Alice lived here until about 1970 until her health declined and she was placed in a Pauls Valley Nursing Home.
