Laura Octavia West-Dockery - date of death 8 Sep 1880, has been verified SEE: The Daily Arkansas Democrat - Little Rock, Arkansas, edition Wed. 15 Sep 1880, page 4, column 2.

Laura previous to the newspaper finding had last been identified on the June 1880 census where she was living in the home of her husband's uncle, Dr. Pleasant Thomas Mask.

Thomas P.Dockery would briefly marry for the second time, Frederika W. Toelle on 25 Sept 1883, in Colchester Station, New London County, Connecticut and separating by March 22, 1884, in New York City,New York.

* NOTE: Currently, there is no actual known burial site located. Researchers believe her to be buried in one of three locations: 1) near her place of death in Beat #1, Coahoma County, Mississippi, 2) Natchez City Cemetery,Adams County, Mississippi, where her husband and daughters are buried or 3) Port Gibson, Claiborne County, Mississippi location of her parents, the West family plot in Wintergreen Cemetery.
