Peggy Bales Bonner, homemaker, 89, of Las Vegas, passed away Sept. 1, 2014. She was born April 21, 1925, in Champaign, Ill.
Peggy was the state director for the National Campers and Hikers Association. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Adam and Lucretia Hartman; first husband, John Bales; and her second husband, Zed Bonner.
Peggy is survived by her son, Tim Bales; daughter, Bonnie Richardson; and grandchildren, Teresa Oxborrow, Scott Bedford and Priscilla Hatch. She also leaves behind four great-grandchildren, Brandon Oxborrow, Miles Bedford, Bella Stover and Rell Hatch.
Funeral services will be at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 4, at Palm Eastern Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89123. Graveside services will at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 5, at Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
