Joseph H. (Turk) Belford, 51, of Waynesburg R. D. 2, died suddenly in his home of a heart attack at 8:30 a.m. Sunday, July 9, 1967.

He was born May 11, 1916, at Waynesburg a son of the late Jonathan and Minnie Elms Belford.

Mr. Belford was a coal miner employed by the Christopher Coal Company in their Humphrey Mine at Mt. Morris. He was a member of the Mather Christian Church and American Legion Post 954, Jefferson.

He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the Navy and a Korean War veteran serving with the Army. Mr. Belford was also a member of Company K, 28th Division Pennsylvania National Guard.
