Parkersburg News - 11/11/1941: Levi L. Taylor of Emmerson avenue, died Sunday evening at 7:15 o'clock, at the age of 68.
A native of Philadelphia, Mr. Taylor was a son of minister, The Rev. and Mrs. James W. Taylor. For the past twelve years he had made his home in Parkersburg at the home of a sister-in-law, Miss Sally Adcock. A mechanic by trade, he was retired during his residence here. He was a member of the Baptist church.
He leaves his wife, Ellen, one son, Allyn Taylor of Akron, Ohio; one daughter, Mrs. Ray Scheneman, also of Akron; one brother, James Taylor of Welch, W. Va.; one sister, Mrs. W. H. Murray of Crew, Va. and three grandchildren, James Taylor, Dolly Scheneman of Akron and Billy Scheneman of Parkersburg.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Adcock residence with Revd. F. E. Lambert of the Baptist church in charge. Burial will be in Mount Olivet cemetery, the body will be taken home this afternoon from the Leavitt mortuary.
