John(S)Fuller, a prominent and wealthy citizen of Cumberland Township, died on Tuesday evening, July 7, (1903) of blood poisoning. Last Friday he was working in a harvest field when he was struck on the hand by the limb of a tree, inflicting a wound from which the disease started. Despite careful medical attention nothing could prevent the fatal result. Mr. Fuller was 70 years of age and was known as a conservative and successful man in the conduct of business affairs, accumulating quite an amount of wealth. He was highly esteemed by neighbors and acquaintances and bore an unquestioned character for honesty and integrity. He was the founder of the American National bank of this place and had been second vice president of it since its organization. He is survived by a wife and six children: John, Benjamin, Alice, Thomas, Charles and Levi. he funeral will be held today at 2 pm services being conducted by the Rev McDonald, pastor of the Presbyterian church, interment at Carmichaels. A beautiful floral tribute was ordered by the American bank from A M Murdock of Pittsburg and arrived here last evening. It consists of a cross and anchor, bearing the word and initials "Founder A N B".
