Charles E. Allen, 80, of St. Albans died March 15, 2003, at Thomas Memorial Hospital. He was a retired lab technician from Union Carbide Corp. Technical Center after 32 years of service, an Army veteran of World War II, past member of the Lions Club, resident of St. Albans since 1953, and was a member of the Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his wife, Reginia Allen; son, Thomas Allen; three sisters; and one brother. Surviving: sons, Ronald Allen and Harold Allen, both of St. Albans, Robert Allen of Shorewood, Ill.; sister, Ethel Long of Fairmont; four grandchildren; one step-grandchild; one great-grandchild; and two step-great-grandchildren.
