80, of Springfield died at 5:50 p.m. Thursday at Heritage Manor Nursing Home.
He was born Oct. 24, 1909, in Springfield, the son of George and Catherine Morris Hood. He was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters.
He is survived by several nieces including Doris Parson and Lola Stewart, both of Springfield, and several nephews including Edward Dorworth of Springfield.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Bisch Memorial Home, with the Rev.
Vaughn Beeman officiating. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
