Survivors include: his wife, Tathy Sexton Burton, Burnsville, NC; one daughter, Katelyn Burton, Burnsville, NC; and one son, Christopher "Chris" Lee Burton, Danville.
Funeral services were held at the Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home in Danville, with Rev. Bill Hall officiating. Pallbearers were Barry Huggins, Bryan Cole, Gerald Howell, Gene Clark, John Lane and Tommy Littrell.
Burial was in the Goodwater Cemetery, Mt. Victory, KY.
