Capt David C Hogg, Jr
Birth 1823 in New York
Death 25 Nov 1875 in Brooklyn, Kings Co., NY

Civil War Captain of the 42nd New York Tammany Regiment. Fought in the Battle of Balls Bluff. Under heavy fire from the enemy, Capt. David Hogg and his Company I were praised for the difficult task they did of helping the wounded under heavy fire from the enemy get to safety and to the field hospital.

Due to his injuries at the battle of Balls Bluff Virginia, Captain Hogg became a recruiting captain for Tammany Hall and was discharged with a honorable pension in 1862.

He passed away due to his injuries from the Civil War
