Section165, Lot 26281.
Three stones stand on this lot. Despite at least 9 MERCER burials in this family lot, only Andrew and Zella Mercer are memorialized in stone. In this photo of the lot, the principal monument, inscribed with only the surname MERCER, appears at the rear of the lot. Placed at its base is a medallion indicating that Andrew was a member of the Ulysses S. Grant Post #327 of the Grand Army of the Republic in Brooklyn. At the center of the photo lot are two footstones, inscribed, left to right:
1
Andrew Mercer
June 23, 1836,
Sept. 30, 1917.
2
Zella Mercer
April 10, 1843,
July 1, 1914.
The four small stones at the front of the lot are then remnants of what once was a gated enclosure.
[NOTE: Burial list from online cemetery records, with burial dates, which may represent reburials after removal from previous graves. Asterisks indicate those buried without visible stone and/or legible inscription. This list may be incomplete.
