Kaminsky, Gerald E.

Gerald E. Kaminsky, age 89, of 1010 18th St. Two Rivers, died Sunday evening, September 22, 2013, at Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers.

Gerald was born May 23, 1924, in Two Rivers, a son of the late Rudolph and Blanche (Peronto) Kaminsky. He attended H.P. Hamilton Grade School and graduated from Washington High School with the class of 1942. Gerald proudly served in the U.S. Army for three years. On September 15, 1956, he married Eunice Jacoboski at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Two Rivers. He was employed at Hamilton Mfg. Co. for 45 years, retiring as a supervisor in 1986. He loved polka and old time music and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandsons.

Survivors include his wife: Eunice Kaminsky, Two Rivers; two daughters: Sue Ann Kaminsky, Two Rivers and Kay Lynn (Bryan) Richmond, Tomah; two grandsons: Brett and Brady Richmond; the family dog: Jack; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother: Elmer (Leona ) Kaminsky and a sister: Mildred Richey.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 25, 2013, at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, 3218 Tannery Rd., Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Tom Reynebeau with entombment to follow in Knollwood Chapel Mausoleum, Hwy 310, Manitowoc. Military honors will be accorded immediately following the services by members of VFW Post #1248 and American Legion Post #165 of Two Rivers.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Wednesday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11:00 a.m. There will be no Tuesday evening visitation.

Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, 1506 18th St., Two Rivers, is assisting the Kaminsky family with funeral arrangements.

The family extends a special thank you to Dr. LaLiberte, the staff of the Emergency Department and the nurses and staff of the 3rd Floor at Aurora Medical Center and to Cathie Waak for the care given to Gerald and his family.
