Dr. Carolyn Anderson Beard, M.D.

Dr. Carolyn Anderson Beard, M.D. age 85 of Kingston, passed peacefully at home on September 20, 2014 surrounded by loved ones.
She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church, Kingston. Dr. Beard was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mack Harvie Anderson, Jr. and born in McGehee Arkansas on July 18, 1929.
She graduated from the University of Arkansas School of Medicine at Little Rock in 1954. For 35 years, she practiced medicine in Roane County. She was a dedicated public servant working as Roane County’s Health Officer from January 1956 until December 1991, when she retired.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mack Harvie Anderson, Jr., brother Mr. Mack Anderson and sister in law Mrs. Jewel Anderson.
She leaves behind her loving husband and soulmate of 59 years, Dr. Earl Craig Beard, D.D.S.
She is also survived by son, Reece Beard Daughter and son in law, Delia and Carlos Zamarripa Grandchildren, Sherrill and Sherrie Beard, Austin and Holly Zamarripa Brother and sisters in law Pittman and Mary Ruth Beard, Lillian Moorefield and many nieces and nephews
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Delia C. Anderson Library c/o First Baptist Church, Kingston.
Funeral 2pm Wednesday September 24, 2014 in the Kyker Chapel with the Rev. Tommy Taylor officiating. Burial to follow at Roane Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 until 8pm at the Kyker Funeral Home in Kingston
