A lifelong resident of Cherokee County, David grew up in the Lost City area where he attended school before graduating in 1990 from Hulbert High School. He had worked for Hem Saw in Pryor for seven years before beginning his employment with Tahlequah Public Works where he has worked for the past nine years. David married Julie Young in Arkansas in 1997.
David has been a member of Grace Baptist Church since 1998. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, grilling and smoking meat for family and friends.
David is preceded in death by his brother Rickie Dale Potts 1972-1998 #27483981. Grandparents Gerald and Lily Mae (Moss) Potts, Great-Grandparents Clayton and Genevieve (Stevens) Potts.
He is survived by his wife, his children, Maranda, Madison and Dustin Potts, all of the home; parents Dean and Ida Potts of Hulbert, OK. brothers, Ray Potts and wife Toni of Hulbert, OK., and DeWayne Potts of Medicine Park, OK. and a host of other relatives, friends and loved ones.
