William Lawson
William Herbert Lawson, of 965 Beason Drive, died Sunday night in a local hospital.

He was a lifelong resident of Chattanooga and a veteran of World War ll, serving with the U. S. Army. He was retired from Olin Conductors and was a member of the Woodland Heights Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Nettie Smith Lawson; three daughters, Mrs. Peggy Elder, Mrs. Hazel Smith and Mrs. Wanda Bolen, all of Chattanooga; one son, Jerry M. Lawson, of Chattanooga; three brothers, Pete Potter, John Henry Potter and Jessie Allen Potter, all of Chattanooga; three sisters, Mrs. Irene Nye, Mrs. Barbara Lawson and Mrs. Nellie Haithcock, all of Chattanooga; three granddaughters, two grandsons, and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Coulter Chapel of Lane Funeral Home with the Rev. John W. Livingston and Minister Jim Dearman officiating.

Interment will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Reed Johnson, Rex Pendergrass, joe Kizziah, Bobby Webb, Sonny McClure and Dale Smith serving as pallbearers.

Funeral arrangements are by the Coulter Chapel of Lane Funeral Home, Inc., where the family will receive friends after 7 p.m. today.
