Samuel Yenglin

1879-1964

Samuel Yenglin, age 84, passed away on Thursday, March 12, at the Scheurer Hospital in Pigeon following an extended illness.
He was born October 24, 1879 at Tilden, Nebraska, and moved to Romeo in 1937 and came to Pigeon in 1959. On November 12, 1900 he was united in marriage to Olive Beal. She passed away in 1960.
Mr. Yenglin is survived by two daughters, (Fay) Mrs. George Layh and (Opal) Mrs. John McDonald, both of Romeo; four sons, Mayford, Ainsworth, Nebraska, Glen and Clarence, Pigeon, and Merle, Ferndale; 26 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Eva Olson, Anaheim, California and Mrs. Lillie Summerfield, Gregory, South Dakota., and one brother L. C. Yenglin, Arcadia, California.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 14 at 1:00 p.m. in the Shetler Funeral Chapel, Pigeon. The Rev. Marvin McCallum will officiate. Burrial will be in the Bruce-Armada cemetery in Romeo at 4:30 p.m.
