Louisa, 94, born to Jose Maria L'Esperance and Placida (Archuleta) L'Esperance, married Juan F. Vigil on January 20, 1930 in Las Vegas, NM. He died in February 1987. Louisa had lived in Brighton since 1953. She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church and a past matron of the Holy Family Society. Her faith and devotion to the church was important. Her family was centered around the foundation she had laid for them. Her entire life was devoted to her family. She helped start QLE Center which is now the Brighton Senior Center, where she volunteered. She helped in the kitchen for the School District at Vikan and South Elementery and worked at Adams County Probation Office. Survivors included: sons Henry Vigil, Rose Hill, KS, and Albert (Noelle) Vigil, Buena Vista; daughters Mary Vigil, Greeley, and Jane Vigil, Brighton; 16 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren. Preceding were 2 brothers, 4 sisters, and sons Faustin Vigil in 1972 and Albino Vigil in 1983. Rosary was January 24 at Tabor-Rice Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial held January 25 at St. Augustine Catholic Church.
