Francis P. Aaron was a farmer in Clarion County until 1868 when he went with his family to Manhattan, Illinois. He farmed there until his death, Oct. 7, 1869. He and his daughter, Blanche, are buried in Joliet, Ill. Mrs. Aaron returned to the Crates area with her family and kept house for Peter Ruffner. It later became her farm, then later part of her son's, Henry (Harry) Aaron, and then finally it became the Gerald Aaron farm.
