Born on December 2, 1915 in Mediapolis, Iowa, she was the daughter of Fred and Selma Anderson Flaar. She married Aloys “Louie” Kapitain on April 24, 1933 in Burlington, Iowa. He died on April 19, 1994.
Eva was raised on a farm in Mediapolis and attended a country school. She was a homemaker and worked at Midwest Biscuit Company. She enjoyed quilting, cooking, gardening and spending time with her family. She made hundreds of and booties and blankets for newborn babies and donated them to local hospitals. She was a member of SS. John & Paul Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, three sisters and one brother.
