Sarah L. Hope - HARDEEVILLE, SC - Sarah Louise Hope, 88, died September 21, 2013 under the care of Hospice of South Carolina in the home of her surviving daughter and son-in-law, Rev. Roy and Nancy Perry of Hardeeville, SC. She was born in Savannah, GA on December 7, 1924 to the late Louie C. Brantley and Clara B. Brantley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charles Douglas Hope, a brother L.C. Brantley, Jr. and a sister, Elizabeth Bell. Survivors include 3 grandchildren, Rev. Allen Perry (Becky) of Tillman, SC, Darlene Hubbard (Donny) and Diane Perry of Hardeeville, SC; 3 great-grandchildren, D.J. Hubbard (Brenda) of Douglasville, GA, Allen Bubba Perry of Tillman, SC and Heather Nikki Horry (Garland) of Charleston, SC; a brother, Floyd Brantley of Ellabell, GA; 2 sisters, Inez Bryant and Frances Thompson of Pooler, GA; and several nieces and nephews. She was an active member of Coosawhatchie Baptist Church until her failing health prevented her from attending. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at Coosawhatchie Baptist Church, 3853 Morgandollar Road, Coosawhatchie, SC 29912. The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the funeral service. Burial will take place at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, 315 Greenwich Road, Savannah, GA 31404. Pallbearers will be Donald Hubbard, Sr., Allen Bubba Perry, Larry Thompson, J.T. Thompson, Donnie Phillips, Sr., and Tony Branch, Sr. Memorial donations can be made to the building fund of Coosawhatchie Baptist Church, P.O. Box 479, Ridgeland, SC 29936.
