Ray E. Dexter, 67, Detroit, Mich., a native of Monroe, and the brother of Mrs. Nellie Bouton, Pinehurst Sanatorium, died Feb. 7 in Detroit Osteopathic Hospital, Highland Park, after a long illness.
The son of Asaph and Laura Dexter, he was born July 13, 1890, in Monroe and was married to Anna Shore Oct. 3, 1920, in Ashley, Ind. He was retired in 1955 after 35 years with Dodge Motors. He was a member of the Madison Heights School Board for 18 years and was active in Boy Scouts. He was a member of First Congregational Church, Royal Oak. Michigan.
His only son, David, died in 1938.
