Reatha Rupert Scott, 77, 726 Hancock Ave., Vandergrift, died Thursday, March 17, 1983, in Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights.
Born March 29, 1905, in Parks Twp., she was the daughter of James and Molly Blystone Cook.
Mrs. Scott was a resident of the Vandergrift area all of her life.
She was a member of the Church of God in Vandergrift and the WCG Missionary Society.
Survivors include one son, Dale Rupert, Vandergrift; four daughters, Mrs. Howard (Eloise) McManus, Vandergrift, Mrs. Clifford (Maxine) White, Parks Twp., Mrs. Warren (Millicent) Scott, Vandergrift, and Mrs. Gary (Carolyn) Fitzgerald, New Bedford; 23 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren; one brother, Veryl Cook, Parks Twp.; and one sister, Mrs. Howard (Violet) Clepper, Apollo.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Lawrence Rupert, in 1963; her second husband, Floyd H. Scott, in 1975; a son, Harold Rupert, in 1974; a daughter, Valjean Varner, in 1982; and by two grandchildren; one brother and three sisters.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 this evening and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday in the Dunmire-Kerr Funeral Home, 244 Franklin Ave., Vandergrift, where services will be held Sunday, March 20, at 1 p.m., with her pastor, the Rev. David in charge.
Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
