LANE, Lorene born in Headland, AL March 6, 1914, died Sept. 30, 2014, was the daughter of Margaret Ann and James Benjamin Quattlebaum. She grew up during the Great Depression and learned the importance of hard work and dedication to family, friends, and community. A friend to many and source of wisdom and inspiration to those she met, she lived a life of respect for others and love for her family. Persevering through the challenges of WWII, she served her country in the Civil Defense Corps. Lorene was predeceased by her loving husband, Joel R. Lane. She leaves behind a daughter, Sylvia Fletcher; a niece, Debbie Wagoner; a nephew, James B. Quattlebaum Jr.; as well as great-nieces, Amber Quattlebaum, Courtney Wagoner, and Natlie Bullen; and great-nephews, Joel R. Quattlebaum and Joshua Quattlebaum. Although her spirit has passed on to walk with the Lord and her loving husband Joel R. Lane, her memory remains forever in the hearts of the family and friends with whom she shared her love and wisdom. Funeral Services were held with entombment at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park.
