Mrs. Martha J. Morris, aged 92, widow of David Morris, died Saturday evening, March 31, 1945, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Flora Muckle, of Waynesburg, R. D. 5.
Mrs. Morris, who was born in Greene County, April 27, 1852, spent most of her life in Greene County, and was one of the oldest residents of this section. A daughter of the late Richard and Hester Morris Ankrom, she is survived by one daughter, Flora, at whose home she died; one brother, John Ankrom, of Waynesburg, R. D.; one sister, Mrs. Sarah Morris, of Waynesburg, R. D.; nine grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Her late husband, David, died 12 years ago.
She was a member of the Throckmorton Methodist Church.
