Mrs. Geneva Reed, lovingly known as “Gran”, age 93, of McKinney, Texas, passed away December 13, 2004, in McKinney. She was born September 17, 1911, in Montague County, Texas, to Robert and Maggie (Smart) Brians. She married Clarence L. Reed on September 18, 1928, in Vernon, Texas. Mrs. Reed was a homemaker and a member of Central Christian Church in Sherman, Texas. She is survived by her daughter, Phyllis Davis and husband, Homer Walker of McKinney, Texas; granddaughter, Melissa Atkinson and husband, Hugh, of Dallas, Texas; great-granddaughter, Macy Atkinson of Dallas, Texas; brother, Truman Brians of Marshall, Texas; and sister, Evelyn Wiseman of Houston, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence L. Reed. Funeral services will be at 12 Noon, Wednesday, December 15, 2004, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Dr. Hollie Atkinson officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M., Tuesday, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made the Presbyterian Healthcare Foundation, 8440 Walnut Hill Lane, Suite 800, Dallas, TX 75231.
