DEATH TAKES WILLIAM STONEMAN

Succumbs Sunday Afternoon At His Home Here.

William Stoneman, 70, died Sunday afternoon at 3 o’clock at his home, 1522 Division Street. Death was due to complications. Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 8:30 from the home and at 9 o’clock from the St. Andrew Church. Burial will be made in the St. Ann Cemetery, Francis Creek.

Born at Forestville January 17, 1865, Mr. Stoneman spent all his life in Door and Manitowoc Counties. He was married on April 29, 1889, to Catherine Murray who survives him. For 17 years, from 1890 to 1907, Mr.
Stoneman operated a creamery and cheese factory at Forestville. In 1907, he moved to Mishicot where he operated the Central Hotel until 1918 when he moved to Francis Creek to work for the Pauly & Pauly Co. for 16 years, moving to Manitowoc in 1929. He retired in 1934.

Survivors include his widow; four daughters, Mrs. J. J. Millard, Redondo Beach, California, Mrs. M. Koch, Mishicot, Mrs. Gardner Hessel, Francis Creek, and Miss Lucy Stoneman, Milwaukee; four sons, E. J. Stoneman of
Platteville, William Stoneman, Jr., of Kansas City, M.O., N. J. Stoneman of Columbus, Ohio, and A.C. Stoneman of Buffalo, New York; one brother, Joseph Stoneman of Forestville; a sister, Mrs. Emily Cofrin, Sawyer; and
14 grandchildren.

The body will be removed to the home Tuesday afternoon from the Pfeffer Funeral Parlors. It may be viewed from Tuesday afternoon until time of the services Thursday.
